Boise Bail Bonds Appraisals Services
What is Bail Collateral?
In the State of Idaho bail collateral may be offered in place of or in addition to bail money to secure the release of the person who has been arrested and detained. It’s essentially a form of credit to ensure that the person complies with his or her obligation to show up in court. Collateral can be in the form of almost anything of value including real property, an automobile, jewelry or other assets. Usually bail collateral takes the form of property.
If you are offering your house as collateral, the court or bail agent will have you place the deed to the home in their trust. Since the house is being used as security, the court will want to know right away – “what’s it worth?” That’s generally the point where an attorney will recommend their clients contact a State Certified Real Estate Appraiser to appraise the house ASAP to establish a professional opinion of its current fair market value.
At ‘Appraisal One’ we understand how worrisome it can be for anyone who has a friend or relative detained due the allegations of a crime. We recognize that the situation can escalate into a highly emotionally and economically demanding experience. It’s a situation that needs to be taken seriously and handed with discretion and competence. That’s why we shift our Bail Bond clients into a high-priority status above our routine workflow to fast-track your ability to place bail as soon as possible. Depending on the circumstances, most appraisals can be delivered within 24-48 hours.
